SWOPLA is hosting its first ever Apocalyptic Resource Carnival, in promotion of our newest zine (to be released soon) The Sex Worker’s Guide to the Apocalypse (SWGA). Join hands-on workshops led by our expert contributors to SWGA and build community in a fun carnival environment.
The Apocalyptic Resource Carnival is a celebration and reimagining of a future where sex worker knowledge and skills are centered as essential to the survival of our population. Our socio-political context is shifting rapidly, and while labeling our current situation an “APOCALYPSE” is a new concept for many of us, the truth is sex workers have been surviving and thriving amidst systems meant to destroy and disappear them for a very long time. This is exactly why we are positioning sex workers as the experts in outlining the best tools and strategies to navigate our current world!
Come join us for a day of festivities centered around resource sharing, skill-building, and community connection!
